Sitting in a chair,
In front of a fire,
Staring at the flames,
Feeling lost and dire.
Mist over eyes,
Remembrance,
A time before,
A reminiscence.
Happiness,
Washes away,
With memories,
Of better days.
Weren’t alone,
Weren’t scared,
Didn’t lose hope,
As you just stared.
The fire chars,
Time stretches along,
As all your thoughts,
Have stopped and gone.
