'you know, i'm so tired of french' she said
'i'd like to learn english instead'
i sighed 'oh but it can't be done'
but thought that it might well be fun
she said 'you seem to like me, don't you do'
i thought 'oh yes this sounds like true'
i said 'you're lovely girl indeed
but now please go, i have to read'
she walked halfway to classroom door
i couldn't stand it anymore
and then she turned to me and said
'the less you want, the more you get'
she said it so sure of fact
i didn't know how to react
and then she said another thing
'one never knows how to begin'
i sat dumb clutching at my book
so much confusion in my look
she tossed her massive hair back
and laughed 'you cannot understand'
i asked 'don't torture me, just let me be'
and she smiled 'but you love me'
