This is a tribute to the lady I call Grandma Dolly who was and still is my inspipration to the being the woman that I am today. I remember her and her family very fondly.
A Remembrance Of My Grandma Dolly.

The love I feel in my heart
will always be a part
of what is in my soul
because I am whole.
Even though not yet complete
the love I feel is no small feat
because it takes courage
strength and a solid will.
Grandma Dolly instilled in me
way before the dark days came
that always strong I should be
and never to forget to see.
Because though our eyes play
tricks on us, we still must say
that in our souls we are pure
now and into our future.
She taught me right from wrong
and today I can say I am strong
in my will to walk proud
keeping my head out of the clouds.
Grandma Dolly told me one day,
that never to a stranger say
'begone! ' Because they
just might not obey.
She was my teacher, my light
and she always believed I might
be able to carry the torch of life
through dark days and clear night.
Grandma Dolly, Grandpa Jack,
Auntie Caroline, and Uncle Johnny,
were there when I was slack
and through faith brought me back.
They raised me for ten years
through laughter and tears
as their very own child
and taught that girls are never wild.
I remember her now when I need
her words of wisdom to heed
to bring me out of the gloom
that could mean my doom.
