You wouldn’t understand us
As we see things in a different light
Which is no light
Dogs, cats, car, bus
Our powerful mechanisms of sight
All but hide away
In a dastardly guise
Come on out, no excuse
I begged
But not even a sway
And what could I have done
Those beautiful sights
Stolen under, no above my nose
I, not even putting up a fight
As I see an image froze
That evil ghoul!
Curses and swears
A beaten expression I wear
What folly, oh what fouls
Have I done in a previous life
Maybe I am cruel
Gouge some eyeballs
Or deprive others of their daily gruel
These sounds all
Oh all too befitting of Satan, only
If ever
Light is bestowed upon my peekholes
Even in doles
Strong will be the brunt energy and never
Will I get to enjoy sight, returning status quo
Ha! But what thoughts those are
A punishment in disguise
Concealed in happy lies
Honour me? I am honoured
Dreams so far
My life in negative light
My world in no light
He who could not see
He who’s me
With a vision’s tight
