As the rains bid adieu
And the season turns mild
The sun, lukewarm,
Each passing day
Takes a little more time off
The humble flames
Of the diyas flicker
And the lanterns
Sway and gently dance
To the tunes
Of the cool, yet mellow
Autumn breeze
And softly smile
The joy that fills and peeps
Through the windows
Of every home.
