The sensation livened me
Under the water totally free.
Gliding through the water
Feeling as light as air,
Not many get this feeling.
In the ocean
Land nowere in sight,
I go with the currents
But sometimes i fight.
Ridingthe waves
Alone and cold,
I want to give up but iI say no
Don't stop. Go for the gold.
Lungs burning
With every breath I take,
I feel a hundred years old
My body numb, full of ache.
Diving under waves
Then breaking free,
I have to finish this swim!
I said only to me.
My body was tired,
But my spirits were high.
My mother always told me
'reach fo the sky'.
I knew they were right
I CAN do anything,
Set my goals high.
There's more to me than what meets the eye.
It's a tough challenge
Miles from home
I'm glad I'm not alone.
I sprint my way out
Using everything left in me,
The closer I am to shore,
The more I feel I'm winning.
Hurrying as fast as I can go,
Noth listening to the buzz ringing in my ear
I swim.
And I could see it,
It's right there!
I wanted to hollar.
I wanted to cheer.
But this swim isn't finished
Because I'm not there.
