lit a cigarette
cancer enters my lungs
and I don't choke
embracing diseases
like a crying child
living in a tragedy
is living in reality
trust your gut
your heart will lead you astray
mind over matter
awake in a blood splatter
confounded by dreams
where's Freud when you need him?
My Id has murdered my super ego
and my ego sits afraid
wise men say things
that confuse the layman
the clouds hide the sun
because it is too beautiful for our eyes to understand
'praise the lord and pass the ammunition'
is all we hear from Washington
we only meet our deaths at the hands of ourselves
