Over the paths once trodden upon,
In a night dark, or a dull dawn
The trees had eagerly stood up,
To greet some guest who had'nt turned up
Abandoned were the villages,
Abandoned were the carriages
I think due to a war perhaps,
Or maybe some other mishaps
And then came the deadliest sight,
There were corpses to my right!
And then the nightmare was over,
But to this day, the scenes in my mind, hover
