Las Rozas (Spain), 13 Nov (EFE).- Energy company Iberdrola renewed their sponsorship deal with the Royal Spanish Football Federation, extending the contract to 2016 when the European Championships will be held.
Spain manager Vicente del Bosque and Iberdrola CEO Ignacio Sánchez Galán presented the new deal at the federation's headquarters, a five-year relationship that will become seven when the contract finishes.
Del Bosque was delighted that the federation had come to an agreement with Iberdrola after the World Cup in Brazil, in which Spain was unable to qualify out of the the group stage.
"I would like to thank Iberdrola for continuing. If you supported is in the good times, I hope things will shine again like in the past and that we are successful. I hope this relationship is not temporary and that it lasts many years," the coach stated.
