New Research Says Marriage Makes People Happier, Especially When Spouse is 'Best Friend'

The study took data from around the world and controlled for people's life satisfaction pre-marriage. Marriage was found to make people happier in all regions but Latin America, South Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa.
