Encore talks to Dinaw Mengestu. The Ethiopian-American author has his third novel out in France in August and it's already considered to be one of the best of the year, according to the New York Times. "All our names" explores racism in America's Midwest in the 1960s, as well as the widespread violence during the independence war in Uganda. He explains how his experience as a journalist in Darfur was the starting point for writing his new novel.
