Displaced campesinos in Colombia are demanding answers from the government regarding land restitution. They say that a new law facilitates the illegitimate ownership by both national and international agribusiness of rural lands that in fact belong to them. The law favors the implementation of agro-industrial projects and monocultures. The issue is especially important to campesinos expecting to return to their lands once a peace agreement is signed.
