Mexican collective NAAFI has been accumulating some well deserved praise as of late, as being recognised as an imprint using club music to explore Latin American identity. Chilean native and one of NAAFI's core producers, Imaabs has been pursuing this in his music for a few years now.
"Clinamen" sees his newest musical endeavour. Ghostly drums, synthesised bells and a reverb-heavy sitar sample gives the piece an echoey eeriness sounding like a perpetual Hallowe'en. Think along the lines of early Zomby.
The track is taken off a split single with London's MM (of Her Records), following on from a Gang Fatale / CYPHR split single in the Body Horror series via Purple Tape Pedigree, which has been getting love by the likes of Murlo, Dre Skull and Dubbel Dutch, amongst others.
Body Horror II drops on Friday 13th November. Don't sleep.
