Pasojat e krizës ekonomike kane nisur te ndjehen drejtpërdrejt te kompanitë ajrore. Pas "Spanair" edhe kompania e udhëtimeve hungareze "Malev" ka marre vendimin për te pezulluar fluturimet. Lajmi është konfirmuar nga qendra ne Budapest, përmes një komunikate te publikuar ne faqen zyrtare ne internet, ku shkruhet se "66 vjet pas krijimit, "Malev" nuk do te kryeje me fluturime". Vendimi vjen pasi komisioni evropian kërkoi nga kompania ajrore te shlyeje disa pagesa ta prapambetura te viteve 2007-2010, ne shumën e 130 milion eurove, çka e ka bere te pamundur vazhdimin e fluturimeve te saj. Edhe ne Shqipëri, zyrtare ne Drejtorinë e Përgjithshme te Aviacionit Civil konfirmojnë se kane marre një urdhër për pezullim te fluturimeve, por nuk konfirmon falimentimin e kompanisë. Deri me tani ende nuk ka informacione se çfarë do te ndodhe me ata pasagjere qe kane prere biletën paraprakisht. Sipas rregullores te miratuar nga kjo kompani me 31 Janar te këtij viti, thuhet se kompania shtyn datën ne rast pezullimi, derisa te kryhen fluturimet për biletat e prera paraprakisht. Nga falimentimi i "Malev" do te mbeteshin te papune 2600 persona.
