2015-12-01 0 Dailymotion

Over the weekend, members of the National Coordinating Group of Educational Workers (CNTE) held defiant protests in the southern state of Oaxaca against the application of teacher evaluations. The dissident teachers continue the evaluations part of a strategy to strip them of their labor rights and privatize education and had requested a public and open dialogue on the issue. Instead, the federal government sent 5000 federal militarized police to the state to ensure that the boycott of the elections would not be successful, resulting in clashes with the teachers.
