A shocking video has emerged of a Tube passenger standing up to a man in the middle of an allegedly homophobic rant after New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Ryan Mahon was travelling on the Northern Line in the early hours of New Year’s Day, when he saw the man ‘shout abuse at a drag queen’.
After stepping in, Ryan was himself targeted with abuse and violent threats.
‘Had an amazing night celebrating New Years with great people!!’ he wrote in a Facebook post.
‘Unfortunately, on the way home I witnessed an absolute idiot shouting abuse at a drag queen on the tube.’
After Ryan got involved, the aggressive passenger shouted at him: ‘If there was no camera nowhere, you’d have no jaw.’
