Whats up welcome back to ClevverMusic, here with a breaking music update. Drizzy Drakes upcoming album Nothing Was The Same cover art was causing some buzz last week after being revealed online. It sees current Drake staring down at what seems to be a younger version of himself, set to a blue sky backdrop. But why do some think that is actually Blue Ivy hes looking at? Well it does look a lot like Beyoncé and Jay Zs daughter Blue, with similar facial features and similar small fro. Not to mention its on a clear Blue sky. In an interview with MTV Drake explains the meaning behind the art, and just who that little one on the cover actually is. Drake explained the artwork itself saying proudly, "Its a full oil painting by Kadir Nelson". So its not actually a photograph at all, but a true piece of art. And who is it of? Drake divulged, "Its a child version of myself staring at myself now". And the current version will be the front of the album with the child version on the back. So what does this comparison mean to the rapper? Drake explained that the cover reflects the music and lyrics in the album, "...This is my most clear concise thoughts from now, and my best recollection of then". So it seems this new album is extra personal for Drake, which has already seen two singles reflect that sentiment, "Started From The Bottom" and "Hold On, Were Going Home". And just this weekend Drake mimicked his album cover in his VMA performance, starting the song rapping to a blue sky just like the cover art.
