Protest in front of Manipur bhavan took an ugly turn as police lathicharged on protestors. The Manipuri tribals were protesting against the three anti-tribal bills.
Manipur CM, Ibobi Singh is currently in Delhi to pressurize the President to give an assent to the bill passed in the Manipur assembly last year.
The protestors were brutally beaten and detained, even girls were not spared. Police used water cannon to disperse the crowd. Protestors were chased on the road and beaten up.
APN News reporter Himanshu, who was present at the scene was also beaten by the police.
