A huge hole opened on a road near Ben Aknoun, a town in the province of Algiers in the suburbs of the city of Algiers in northern Algeria on 18 November, 2016. Five cars fell in The hole, injuring a total of 11 people.
According to Nassim Bernaoui of the Algerian Civil Protection in charge of communication, the hole opened on the highway in the direction of Ben Aknoun, near the city of Sahraoui.
