Nutella is a brand of sweetened hazelnut cocoa spread, manufactured by the world's famous Italian company, named Ferrero.
The main ingredients of Nutella are sugar, palm oil, hazelnuts, cocoa and milk. Nutella is marketed as "hazelnut cream" in many countries.
For years, people have been using nutella as a chocolate spread. After the news about the pesky ingredients in the bottled Nutella spread, mostly all the nutella lovers have stopped eating this.
I don't know much about the bottled product, but as a caution only, I recommend to make nutella at home. It is so easy to make in just 10 to 15 minutes.
Recipe is given below!
Nutella is made with hazelnuts. To whom hazelnuts are not available, they can try with almonds or peanuts as I did.
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted peanuts (use hazelnuts, if available)
3tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
½cup sugar
2 tbsp vegetable oil or almond oil
A pinch of salt
1 cup thick milk with fats
Method:
Roast the hazelnuts or peanuts for a nutty taste. Put them in a food processor and grind them to make a paste. Add cocoa powder, sugar, vegetable oil and salt to it and blend for another few minutes. Then add milk and blend again for about 3 to 4 minutes till it gets creamy and velvety. Njoy!!
Tips:
•Use hazelnuts if available
•Roast nuts for a nutty flavor
•Keep in the refrigerator for 2 weeks only
•Warm up before every use
