NEWTON film was founded in 2005 by Ton van Zantvoort (Heesch, 1979). After he completed the Graphic Lyceum in Eindhoven, he graduated with credits in 2003 at the Art Academy AKV St. Joost in Breda, direction audio visual design. In 2006, his debut film GRITO de PIEDRA had its world premiere at the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA).
His second feature a BLOOMING BUSINESS in co-production with the Dutch VPRO was screened at major film festivals and broadcasted worldwide. After producing his own documentary films, he started to produce documentaries for other young directors. DAY is DONE* by Guido Hendrikx premiered at IDFA and FALLING by Jef Monté premiered at the Dutch Film Festival. Together with seriousFilm the produced the film DICK VERDULT - It Is True But Not Here by Luuk Bouwman.
