You can see very clearly here the classic Kalaparusha yoga where all the planets are lined up between the nodes. It is a very fortunate chart. The ruler of the Ascendant (Aquarius), Saturn, is aspecting it directly from the 7th house. Saturn is retrograde and is not very well placed in its enemy's house, but, because it is "vargottama" (in the same position in the natal and navamsa charts, the negativity is canceled out. Saturn aspecting the Ascendant also indicates that the native would be famous internationally. The Moon is at 9 degrees 40 minutes and the "pada" indicates a "happy, rich, benevolent, truthful, kind to the learned and to animals." The Moon is also in her ascendant indicating great popularity, Venus in strength is also there in the Ascendant. She is presently in her Jupiter period (1993-2009) and Jupiter is exalted and aspecting the conjoined planets Sun-Mercury, indicating her ability to compose music. Later during a Jupiter/saturn, She met the famous jazz pianist Chick Corea, and was invited to perform with him the next day (1996). She was 17.
At that early age she must have made the decision to become a jazz musician as she decided to go to the Berkley School of Music in Boston, famous all over the world for its' prominence in jazz. There she was mentored by the legendary Ahmad Jamal.
She will be going into her Saturn period in 2009 and will really rocket into major prominence in the World. Right now, she's a bit a of a quiet inside secret to the music world. She'll soon become legendary.
