Barack Obama has had to put up with a lot of silly criticisms. Like, in 2008 when he was called ‘elitist’ for mentioning arugula. Or like, when he was called a ‘terrorist’ for fist-bumping his wife. The list goes on and on: Sean Hannity criticizing him for only wanting mustard, not ketchup, on his burger labeling him ‘President Poupon’. Chris Matthews saying that he was spending “too much time with the glitzy people in Hollywood, maybe doing too many gay events.” Or Rush Limbaugh claiming that, “He thinks he is the prophet Muhammed. He is not.” Critics even went after his wife, saying that she looks ‘angry’ and criticizing her for wearing sleeveless clothing. It continued all the way up to his farewell speech, where he was criticized for blotting his eyes with a handkerchief after getting emotional. But of course, there’s the mother of them all: Trump repeatedly claiming that Obama was not born in this country. But he took it all in stride. We miss you, Barack.
