According to a report by NBC News, former White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough said on Sunday that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell "watered down' a warning regarding Russia's intention to interfere with the 2016 election in defense of the Obama administration's response to foreign meddling in the campaign.
