세계은행 부총재 "북한, 가입하려면 국제사회 기대 부응해야"
It's too early to talk about providing international assistance for North Korea's economic development.
That's according to the World Bank's senior vice president in charge of development, Mahmoud Mohieldin,... who was visiting Seoul on Wednesday.
He said the World Bank could provide support when the time comes,... that is, when the North Korean regime lives up to the expectations of the international community and when the country becomes a member of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
His response comes after the nation's Finance chief Kim Dong-yeon asked the heads of the two organizations for their involvement in North Korea's future economic development... emphasizing the progress made on the North Korea nuclear issue.
