On Monday, Legendary Pictures dropped the trailer for “Detective Pikachu.” And we have so many questions. Resembling something between a neo-noir and an episode of “Animaniacs,” the trailer has bewildered fans of the franchise and caused a frenzy on social media.
For many, the central concept of the film seems to be a subject of confusion. Why does this movie exist? Why is Pikachu a detective? Why is he voiced by Ryan Reynolds?
And most importantly, why are all the, Pokémon so furry?
