It didn't work out. Hectic parleys on the eve of the Parliament Session have come a cropper - as the government's 11th hour outreach to the opposition parties came a cropper. All party meet called in at monday morning between the leading parties perhaps predictably only served to harden existing faultlines. The congress has already moved an adjournment notice in the Rajya Sabha on the Lalit Modi issue. The BJP says it can't accommodate the opposition any more.
