브렉시트 난항에 대한 전문가의 분석

It's been one of Westminster's most turbulent weeks, as British politicians continue to battle over the terms of the UK's exit from the European Union.
While Prime Minister Boris Johnson wants to leave the EU by the end of the October deadline with or without a deal he was defeated in parliament this week by MPs who voted to block a no-deal Brexit.
Johnson has raised the stakes by pushing for an early election next month,, which lawmakers have also ruled out.
To help us digest the unfolding drama,... we connect to Tim Bale, Professor of Politics at Queen Mary University of London, who joins us through Skype.
Professor Bale thank you joining us today.
Thank you.
1. Boris Johnson has repeatedly called for a snap election to take place on October 15th. His government has given MPs another chance to back his plan next Monday. What does he want out of the snap election, and will it work?
2. Johnson says attempts to delay Brexit will only scupper the UK's negotiating power. Is this a convincing argument?
3. In your view, how likely is it that Brexit will be delayed? Will the Prime Minister be able to come up with a new plan in time?
4. If Brexit is delayed, do you think Johnson will step down as prime minister? If he does, what implications will that have?
