Some cancer patients on the south coast are having to travel hundreds of kilometres to Sydney or Canberra for treatment. While, planning is underway for a new hospital at Moruya, hundreds of residents have staged a rally, demanding a guarantee that specialist services, like cancer treatment will be available at the new hospital.
