A senior member of the Police Service is defending the use of tear gas by officers to disperse protesters at the Queen's Park Savannah at the weekend.
ASP Sheridon Hill tells TV6 Morning Edition that people in the crowd threw missiles at officers while they were attempting to de-escalate the situation.
