The search for fugitive gunman Stanley Turvey is over after police shot him dead near the northern Victorian city of Shepparton. The Victoria police special operations group attended an address in Ardmona just after 10:15 where they say they were confronted by Turvey, who was armed. Officers shot him and paramedics declared him dead at the scene.
