Opposition MP Rodney Charles is calling on the leaders of both the UNC and the PNM to step down and make way for younger people to lead their respective parties.
Charles, who had previously indicated he had no interest in being a candidate for the Naparima seat in the next general election, has publicly supported MP Rushton Paray’s call for the party’s internal election.
On Friday morning he hosted a news conference in Marabella, telling UNC supporters that a 2025 victory is not going to happen if the party continues on its current trajectory.
