Businessman Robert Vadra, husband of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and brother-in-law of Rahul Gandhi, is once again under the spotlight as he appears before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with an alleged 2008 Haryana land deal. Responding to his second summons, Vadra walked to the ED office in Delhi, surrounded by Congress supporters accusing the BJP of political vendetta.
The ED is investigating a ₹7.5 crore land purchase by Vadra’s firm, Skylight Hospitality, which was later sold for ₹58 crore. The case, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, stems from a 2018 FIR and has since evolved into a multi-layered probe involving international transactions and controversial property links.
Vadra strongly denies any wrongdoing, claiming he’s being targeted for his political association and vocal stance on public issues. Despite submitting over 23,000 documents and facing 15 rounds of questioning, he says the pressure tactics continue.
