Rizal parish declared national cultural treasure
National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Chairman Victorino Mapa Manalo, along with Bishop Ruperto Cruz Santos of the Diocese of Antipolo, Rector Rev Fr. Rommel Felizardo, Environment Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga, Rizal Rep. Emigdio Tanjuatco III, Rizal Gov. Nina Ynares, and Mayor Wilfredo Robles, presents the National Cultural Treasure award to the Parish of St. Joseph in Baras, Rizal on May 10, 2025. Manalo cited the artistic and cultural value of the parish behind the recognition. The church built in stone is the fifth oldest and the fourth in Rizal to be declared a national cultural treasure.
