A group of teenagers started a fight during a party on “Senior Skip Day” at Jones Beach State Park. The chaos only ended when police arrived in a helicopter.
The incident occurred on Thursday (5th) and was captured in a video posted on Instagram.
The group, made up of students from various schools, had gathered on the beach in Wantagh, Long Island, for the annual celebration where high school seniors skip class.
What was supposed to be a day of fun and relaxation quickly turned into chaos, according to News 12 Long Island. Several physical altercations broke out on the sand, as shown in the video.
The situation was only brought under control when Nassau County Police responded. Officers flew over the beach in a helicopter, prompting the crowd to disperse.
Representatives from the Nassau County Police Department and Jones Beach State Park have not commented on the incident.
