Taiwan’s economy minister said on Wednesday that Taiwan may need to continue investing in the U.S. to secure a lower tariff rate from Washington. It comes as Taiwan’s government works to lower the 20% U.S. tariff rate on most of its exports to the U.S. The minister also said that a new Taiwan trade office in Texas would help support Taiwanese businesses with overseas investment issues in the country.
