New gameplay footage from the co-op horror adventure REANIMAL. The developers of Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares II are back with REANIMAL, their most terrifying work yet. The atmospheric co-op horror adventure tells the story of two siblings, a brother and a sister, who must traverse a nightmarish island together to rescue their missing friends.
The game focuses on cooperation, survival instincts, and the attempt to escape a dark secret from the past.
The story is set in a dark, thoroughly evil world. Players move through threatening, mysterious environments on land and water that hide more than meets the eye.
Each location is a piece of a larger puzzle that gradually comes together – atmospherically dense, narratively layered, and visually striking.
REANIMAL combines emotional depth with psychological horror. The monsters created by Tarsier Studios are as terrifying as they are symbolically charged: they spring from the inner fears and traumatic memories of the child protagonists.
The character design also reflects this approach, as the heroes themselves are not classic savior figures, but broken children with complex pasts.
REANIMAL can be played alone or in local and online co-op mode. The game uses a split, cinematic camera that deliberately plays with changes in perspective, spatial confinement, and psychological tension.
This cinematic approach underscores the feeling of isolation, but also the importance of solidarity—no one should have to fight alone in this world.
