Emperor Xuan Zhong made Dong Ting with the assistance of the Yuan and Dou family. But the Dou family covets the throne while the Yuan family is dissatisfied with the tyranny that is happening in Dong Ting. Embroiled in the power tussle are 2 sages who supposedly can help any party to rule the world – Sage Hua Bin and Immortal Jingu. Hua Bin has 10-year-old twin daughters, Mu Jin and Jin Xiu. Mu Jin is the studious one who is into weapon inventions and warfare strategies and she inherited her father’s knowledge. Jin Xiu has purple eyes and she is the active one who is interested in martial arts. They also have a friend named Qi Fang who is a fellow villager. The Yuan family is also an enemy of the Ming family. The Ming family took advantage of the Yuan’s family’s help to rise to power but becomes ungrateful. Duke Yuan Qing Jiang and his wife, Xie Mei Xiang, lead soldiers to kill the Ming family who is keeping Immortal Jingu. It is on the orders of the Emperor as well as personal revenge. But Ming Feng Yang’s sister escaped with his young son. Immortal Jingu advises Duke Yuan to recruit and train talented kids who will be able to help the Yuan family. He will need 6 ultimately who would be his protectors and answer to the 32-character mantra. In the mean time, the Prime Minister of Dong Ting, Dou Ying Hua, and his Vice General, Xuan Jiang, lead an army to capture Hua Bin. Many of the villagers are killed including Qi Fang’s parents. Hua Bin sacrificed himself when Dou Ying Hua demands for the 2 books that he has written. His wife escapes with their twin daughters and Qi Fang but with Xuan Jiang in pursuit.
