Mont Blanc Ultra Trail begins under the rain in France
The 2,300 competitors of the 22nd edition of the Mont Blanc Ultra Trail (UTMB), one of the toughest ultramarathons in the world, set off in Chamonix in the French Alps under a light rain that is expected to intensify during the first hours of the race. Astonishingly, the fastest competitors should take around 20 hours to complete this hellish 174-kilometer trail run.
