CM Siddaramaiah reactions on Maddur riots
ಮದ್ದೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಸೀದಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಗಣೇಶ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಗಲಾಟೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಗಲಭೆ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಲು ಲಾಠಿ ಪ್ರಹಾರ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. 21 ಮಂದಿಯ ಬಂಧನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಯಾರು ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಕೂಡ ಅದು ಹಿಂದೂಗಳೇ ಆಗಲಿ, ಮುಸಲ್ಮಾನರೇ ಆಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಯಾವ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರೇ ಆಗಿರಲಿ ಕಠಿಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ ಅಂತಾ CM ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
A clash broke out in Maddur when the Ganesh procession was passing in front of a mosque. Police resorted to a lathi charge to control the situation. Twenty-one people have been arrested. CM Siddaramaiah stated that strict action will be taken against those responsible, whether they are Hindus, Muslims, or workers of any political party.
