'Polymath' David Bowie's archive opens at new V&A center in London
From Ziggy Stardust costumes to handwritten lyrics, a new center showcasing tens of thousands of objects spanning the career of pioneering late British musician David Bowie opens its doors to the public in London on Saturday (September 13).
The David Bowie Centre at London's V&A East Storehouse features some 90,000 items from the music star's archive, which fans, students or researchers can view on appointment.
These include his costumes and shoes, instruments, notebooks as well as unfinished projects, including a musical Bowie was working on towards the end of his life.
The visionary rock star died from cancer in 2016, aged 69.
