Black smoke rose over Gaza's skyline on Saturday (October 11), a day after a ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas came into effect.
In central Gaza, thousands of Palestinians could be seen streaming north along the coast, trekking by foot, car and cart back to their abandoned homes.
