Justice Secretary David Lammy said he is “appalled and livid” after convicted sex offender Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu was accidentally released from HMP Chelmsford. Lammy said the offender “should have been deported” and confirmed a manhunt is underway, with one officer suspended pending a full investigation.
