本作品では、テレビヒーロー特撮としては、極めて異例な手法、あるいは、人形アニメ技法となる「アニクリエーション」、あるいは、「ストップモーションアニメの手法」を使用していました。この技法は、当時、外国のSF映画でも使用されていましたが、着ぐるみとは異なり、かなりぎこちない動きでもありました。

This work employed techniques highly unusual for television hero Tokusatsu, specifically “Anicreation”—a puppet animation technique—or “Stop-motion animation methods.” While this technique was also used in foreign science fiction films at the time, unlike suit puppets, it resulted in movements that were quite stiff and unnatural.
