Extreme fire danger forecast for large parts of New South Wales

Penrith Beach, known as 'Pondi' to Western Sydney locals reopens today, but the hot weather has officials taking a cautious tone. The opening of the patrolled beach was brought forward a day to capitalise on the sunny weather.
