Cuando la normalidad parecía haber regresado a Favara por el matrimonio de Visanteta, ocurre la desgracia y ésta se queda viuda. Para evitar la ira de Santa Barbara cuando el honor de Visanteta se ve amenazado, le irán buscando marido, pero ninguno dura mucho.
