Ando lifts way to gold in 33rd SEA Games in Thailand
Filipino weightlifter Elreen Ando seizes the gold medal at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games women's 63kg class at the Chonburi Sports School in Thailand on Dec. 15, 2025. Ando hoisted 102kg in snatch and 127 in clean and jerk for a total 229 and her second SEA Games gold medal. The two-time Olympian ruled the 59kg class in Cambodia two years ago. Thi Thuy Tien Nguyen finished second to Ando and grabbed the silver with a total of 219kg, while Thai Thanaporn Saetia claimed the bronze with her 218.
