SLOTH SUNBATHES ON ROADSIDE FENCE AND GREETS PASSERS-BY

A calm and curious sloth was spotted resting on a roadside fence, appearing to sunbathe as people passed by nearby.
The footage was captured Jasper Wilkins, 32, a conservation activist originally from Birmingham, UK, while driving through a village near a national park in Panama.
Used to seeing sloths high in the trees, Jasper was surprised to find this one so close to the road and human activity.
The relaxed encounter offered a rare glimpse of wildlife comfortably sharing space with people.
After the sloth was seen soaking up the sun, it was seen trying to hop on another fence and back into the nearby trees.
Jasper said: “We were driving past and noticed a sloth on the bridge with passers-by going past.
“I’d previously only seen sloths in trees, so I was shocked to see this one just on the side of the road, so close to humans.”
