One of world's rarest felines seen on Malaysia's Borneo island

Images released by the Sabah Wildlife and Forestry Department in Malaysia show the flat-headed cat, or Prionailurus planiceps, wandering around the Tangkulap Forest Reserve on the island of Borneo in Feb. and Aug. 2024. These animals are among the world's rarest and most threatened wild felines, with only around 2,500 adults left in the wild globally, according to International Union for Conservation of Nature estimates.
