A free diving instructor enjoying the open water of the Pacific Ocean near Mexico had her peace interrupted by a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. The moment, which occurred in Nov. 2025, was captured on camera, and SWNS recently obtained the footage. The shocking clip shows 27-year-old Emily Marzilli and friends encountering a hungry Bryde's whale while swimming near a school of sardines. The footage, posted initially to Marzilli's Instagram account @emgonewild, begins with the free-diving instructor and her friends in full dive gear, screaming and gesturing at each other on the water's surface with big smiles on their faces. Text on the video reads, "nothing in my life could've ever prepared me for this moment."
